Atlanta Meta World is the world's first metaverse experience built for a city destination, launched by the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau (ACVB). Powered by Unity and delivered through WebGL, this photo-realistic and persistent virtual world lets visitors, tourists, and meeting planners explore the heart of Atlanta starting at the iconic Centennial Olympic Park, from anywhere in the world, directly through a browser with zero downloads required. Users can select and customize avatars, navigate immersive 3D environments, and interact with other visitors and destination specialists in real time. The platform features a built-in AI Chatbot that acts as an intelligent Atlanta city guide, answering questions about attractions, hotels, restaurants, events, and local culture instantly and conversationally. One of the standout experiences inside Atlanta Meta World is the Krog Street Tunnel Graffiti Painting Simulation, a first of its kind interactive art feature that lets users virtually paint and express themselves on the walls of Atlanta's most iconic street art landmark, bringing creative culture into the metaverse. Built in partnership with MA Software Systems, both Atlanta-based companies, the platform meets the full definition of the metaverse: massively scalable, interoperable, synchronous, persistent, and user-centric.
